Dr. Shenelle N. Wilson is a distinguished urologist and urogynecologist renowned for her expertise and commitment to pelvic health. In 2022, Dr. Wilson established Metro Atlanta Urology located in Kennesaw, GA, a thriving solo practice dedicated to providing reconstructive surgery for individuals from diverse backgrounds with pelvic health concerns. Her unwavering dedication to enhancing her patients' quality of life underscores her practice ethos.
Recognized as an outstanding professional in her field, Dr. Wilson was honored with the Young Urologist of the Year Award by the American Urological Association, where she has been an esteemed member since 2013. With a keen focus on addressing various pelvic health issues, Dr. Wilson specializes in diagnosing and treating conditions such as pelvic pain, overactive bladder, menopause, low testosterone, and sexual dysfunction, catering to the needs of both men and women.
Fluent in Spanish and English, Dr. Wilson takes immense pride in delivering personalized and compassionate care, working closely with each patient to tailor treatments to their unique requirements. Moreover, she is deeply committed to promoting diversity within the field of urology. In pursuit of this mission, Dr. Wilson founded Urology Unbound, a non-profit organization dedicated to advocating for the recruitment, retention, and advancement of Black urologists. Through her multifaceted contributions, Dr. Wilson continues to make significant strides in improving patient care and fostering inclusivity within her specialty.
Dr. Wilson obtained her medical degree and graduated with honors from Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA. She then went on to complete an internship, followed by a surgery residency in urology at the Medical College of Georgia. To further her expertise, Dr. Wilson pursued a fellowship in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery at the University of Alabama in Birmingham in June 2020. She started her career as an urgent care physician and urologist at facilities in Alabama. Now, Dr. Wilson is the owner and urologist at Metro Atlanta Urology and Pelvic Health Center in Kennesaw, GA.
