Shockwave Therapy is a non-invasive regenerative treatment that uses acoustic waves to activate the body’s natural healing response. Rather than simply masking symptoms, it works at the tissue level to improve circulation, stimulate cellular repair, and support healthier tissue function.

SoftWave® Therapy is a type of Shockwave Therapy that uses advanced electrohydraulic shockwave technology. The acoustic waves help increase blood flow, encourage new blood vessel formation, support healthy nerve function, and promote the repair and remodeling of damaged or irritated tissue.

For men and women experiencing erectile dysfunction, pelvic pain, urinary incontinence, or other soft tissue conditions, these regenerative effects may help improve tissue health, function, sensation, and overall quality of life.

Shockwave Therapy with SoftWave® is performed comfortably in the office and requires no surgery, injections, anesthesia, or downtime. Most treatments take approximately 15 minutes, and patients can return to their normal activities immediately afterward.

By improving circulation and stimulating the body’s natural repair processes, SoftWave® Shockwave Therapy helps address the underlying tissue—not just the symptoms.

How Shockwave Therapy Works

Shockwave Therapy

SoftWave® Therapy is a quick, comfortable treatment performed right in our office. Most sessions take just 10–20 minutes, depending on the area being treated.

Dr. Wilson will apply a small amount of gel to the treatment area and gently move the SoftWave® applicator across your skin, delivering therapeutic shockwaves. You may feel a light tapping or pulsing sensation, and we'll ask for your feedback throughout the treatment to ensure we're targeting the areas that need it most.

When your session is finished, you can return to your normal daily activities right away. There's no surgery, no anesthesia, and no downtime—just a simple, non-invasive treatment designed to help your body heal naturally.

I am thrilled about my new partnership with Dr. Wilson—she is truly an answer to prayer. I had concerns about a previous procedure, and during my visit with her, she provided exactly the clarity and care I needed. The appointment was incredibly candid, and unlike many doctor visits, it didn’t feel uncomfortable or rushed. Dr. Wilson took ample time to thoroughly answer all my questions and ensured I felt valued, never treating the visit as purely transactional because of my insurance. She also outlined a detailed roadmap for the future, giving me confidence and direction. Her bedside manner is as exceptional as her expertise, which was evident from the very beginning. Dr. Wilson wasted no time addressing my case and quickly set the wheels in motion on pending matters. I’m genuinely grateful to have connected with Dr. Wilson and her amazing staff. If you’re considering a new urologist, I highly recommend scheduling a visit with her—you’ll immediately notice the difference compared to others.
