Lavona C. Wilson graduated from Bowie University with a Bachelor of Science in nursing in 1999. During this time, she worked as a charge nurse in the ICU and ER for nine years at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, MD. Afterward, she took additional jobs in Florida and Georgia as a registered nurse until she decided to expand her education by obtaining a Master of Science from Emory University in 2012. Following this achievement, Lavona became a nurse practitioner at an urgent care center and later on, at two family practices. Combined, she has more than 20 years of experience in the medical field.
